Hello! My name is Ms. Grace, and I am a senior at DePaul University. I recently graduated with degrees in English and Secondary Education and a minor in Psychology.
I grew up in the Northwest suburbs and went to Elk Grove High School. My high school English teachers were phenomenal, and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in education when I grew up. I’m very excited to be a part of a community of advocates for students and their education.
I am passionate about goal-setting; it is part of my educational philosophy. I am here to facilitate and support all areas of growth and needs. I look forward to helping your student determine their areas of development and then create a plan to help them succeed, whether that success looks like a 32 on the ACT or an admission into their dream school boosted by a flawless essay.
As a part of my teacher training, I’ve accumulated over 500 hours of classroom experience and instruction in schools across Chicago. My education includes balanced literacy instruction, inquiry-based learning, and culturally responsive teaching.
Outside of education, I love seeing movies with my friends, walking and biking on the lakefront, and visiting new restaurants around Chicago. I look forward to meeting your family and helping your student succeed!
