Hi! My name is Miss Mary Kate, and I am a fourth-grade teacher in Chicago! I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago. I graduated from the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) in 2020 with a Psychology and Family Sciences degrees. In June of 2022, I graduated from Relay Graduate School with my Masters in Education. I love developing relationships with my students and their families, learning how to best help children learn to read in an engaging and fun way, and leading children to become excited about their education. Since starting in education, I have taught grades one, two, and four and have loved them all. When I'm not at school, you can find me trying new recipes at home, seeking out new restaurants, reading, or at the gym. I love going for walks with my Maltipoo, Rooney!
I would be honored to help your child learn and grow with JAM Teaching! As an educator, I understand that no two children learn the same way. Children's formative years are crucial to their long-term successes and achievements. I aim to find what excites a student about learning and captivate and excite them.
