Hello! I'm Ms. Gina, currently serving as an instructional coach at Pathways in Education, one of Chicago Public Schools' options schools. I am a proud graduate of Illinois State University, where I earned my Bachelor's in English Education in 2020. In 2023, I furthered my academic journey, graduating with an M.S. in Teaching and Learning with a focus in ESL Instruction from the University of St. Francis. I firmly believe in lifelong learning and am constantly fascinated by how students learn best. A huge element of my teaching philosophy is embracing every student's individuality. Just as no two people have the same interests or value system, no two people have the same learning style. I do my best to create relevant and engaging materials to ensure that students can apply their knowledge to their lives beyond the classroom walls. Every student can accomplish great things, and I want to help provide them with the tools necessary to access a bright future. When I'm not teaching or learning, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my two cats, Frank and Gimli, and attending live music events with my loved ones. I genuinely love sharing my passion for education with students and their families, and I look forward to continuing the work with JAM Teaching!
