Hey there, I'm Mr. Andrew. I have been teaching middle school special education for the past two years and tutoring for the past fifteen years; education is my passion.  I started tutoring languages in college.  I gave lessons to foreign exchange students in English, as well as German and Russian lessons, to my fellow students at the University of Arizona.  After that, I moved to Russia for five years; I taught and tutored English to students as young as 5 and as old as 86!  Three years ago, my family and I moved here to Chicago. It's been great getting to know this city! I received my Master's in Special Education to help students needing extra support, and I've loved it.  I'm an inclusion teacher, meaning I get to go into classrooms and support any struggling student.  Finding the best strategy for each student is very rewarding, and I love helping kiddos who need it. My specialties include language learning, Math, and working with neurodiverse students to keep pace with the high demands of the modern general education classroom. I'm incredibly familiar with supporting executive functioning skill growth, and I enjoy helping kids improve their organizational and attention skills. Every mind is unique and beautiful, and with the proper support, we can share that beauty with the world. I look forward to working with JAM to continue providing this support and reaching more students who need help making the world make sense.
