Hello, Families! My name is Mr. Hunter, and I am passionate about providing individualized support to help students thrive academically. I have experience as a private tutor, a preschool assistant teacher, and a summer camp program coordinator, working with students across different ages and subjects.
I was born and raised in Alabama but pursued my undergraduate degree in modern languages with a concentration in Spanish at Fort Hays State University. While there, I tailored my coursework to focus on teaching Spanish, gaining specific training in foreign language teaching methodology and second language acquisition.
In addition to teaching Spanish, I have supported elementary through college-aged students in mathematics, reading, and essay writing. Learning should be engaging and relevant, and I strive to boost student confidence by making lessons meaningful and connected to real-world applications. My goal is to help students build skills while also fostering independence and a love for learning.
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy listening to music, cooking, reading, hiking, and exploring new adventures.
Education is not just about mastering content but also about developing the skills needed for personal and academic growth. Learning empowers students to take ownership of their success, and I am committed to guiding them through that process.
I am excited to support students in unlocking their potential and building a strong foundation for their future.
