Hi there! My name is Ms. Amanda, and I teach 3rd grade in Elmhurst. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, I am thrilled to return home after a few years away for school! I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Elementary Education. I immediately joined City Teaching Alliance, a Master’s degree program at Johns Hopkins that prioritizes equitable education practices.  My husband and I lived in Baltimore for 3 years and then moved to Champaign, IL, for his law school. We welcomed our baby girl in 2021 and are excited to be involved in a beautiful community now that we are back home.

As a teacher and a tutor for several years, I value evidence-based practices, building strong relationships with families, and creating positive student learning experiences. Every child deserves individualized and empowering education to help them reach their greatest potential.
