Hi! My name is Ms. Elizabeth, and I am so excited to be tutoring with JAM! I was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. After graduating from high school, I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for college, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Marquette University. After graduation, I taught in Milwaukee for two years before returning to Chicago to be closer to my family and friends. I have been back in this area for eight years and have taught in River Forest, Berwyn, and Bolingbrook. After moving back to Illinois, I received my Master’s of Arts in Education and ESL endorsement through Dominican University. I have taught second and fourth grade during my first ten years of teaching. My favorite subjects to teach are math and writing! I love watching students find their way to the correct answer in math, and I love watching students show their creative side and express themselves through their writing! I genuinely believe every student can grow and succeed when provided with instruction that allows them to do so! I am excited to use my experience to help tailor instruction so that my tutoring students achieve their best!
I live in Downers Grove with my husband and our two young girls. I am taking a break from teaching in the classroom to raise my girls. We frequent the library, zoo, and many different parks. When I’m not with my girls, I enjoy reading a good mystery or thriller book, baking sweet treats, binge-watching a good show, or going out to eat! I’m excited to continue teaching students through JAM!
