Hello, JAM Families! My name is Ms. Grace, and I’m excited to be part of your learning journey. Growing up in Glenview and now living in Chicago, I developed a deep appreciation for education through the exceptional schools on the North Shore. That foundation prepared me for my studies at the University of Notre Dame, where I majored in film production and Spanish.
With experience in the fast-paced film and television industry, I’ve learned to embrace creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving—skills that translate into effective teaching. Just as no two days on set are the same, no two students learn similarly. At JAM, I focus on understanding each student’s strengths and challenges, tailoring my approach to meet their unique needs.
In addition to my industry background, I have spent several years as an ACT/SAT prep instructor, specializing in the English, reading, and writing sections. I have also worked as a private tutor for high school students, helping them refine their skills, build confidence, and reach their full academic potential.
Tutoring is a creative process, much like storytelling in film. Sometimes, a fresh perspective or an innovative idea can unlock understanding in ways a student never expected. I am passionate about collaborating with my students, exploring new solutions, and achieving success together.
I look forward to embarking on this educational adventure and helping students discover their unique potential!
