I moved to Chicago in August 2020 from Indianapolis, Indiana, and my hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio.
I have a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Evansville, an MS in Educational Leadership from Indiana University, and a Special Education Endorsement from Olivet Nazarene University. I have been a classroom teacher, Title 1 teacher, administrator, and instructional coach. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham for grades K-12 and the Stern and Singapore Mathematical approaches. I have been working with JAM in 1:1 tutoring and have created and implemented a homeschool curriculum for JAM learners. I am passionate about finding the best way for your child to learn and, hopefully, love learning.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, cooking, nurturing my plants, playing with our dog, and exploring the city on a bike and foot. I love living in Chicago and exploring all the different neighborhoods and events that make this city great.
I look forward to partnering with your family to find the best way to encourage your young learner and help them reach their full potential!
