Hello! My name is Ms. Kacie. I am a third-grade teacher in Mount Prospect, Illinois. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago. I received an Elementary Education degree with a reading minor and an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement. Most recently, I received my master’s from Concordia University Chicago and earned a degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently teach in the district that I attended as a child! I love having the opportunity to teach in the district that inspired my passion. I also run a friendship bracelet club and our school’s talent show. Working with students in a nonacademic setting allows me to form strong relationships across the school. Outside the classroom, you can find me out for a walk by Lake Michigan, reading at a coffee shop, baking, or spending time with my family. I am a passionate educator who believes positive relationships can help build confidence and help students persevere through challenges. In my classroom, positive motivation, a growth mindset, and teamwork can help all students to grow. I continually develop my practice through collaboration with coworkers. I just completed my Master’s Degree and have enjoyed implementing my newly acquired knowledge to help my students grow. This allows me to support each child best as needed. I am excited to be on the JAM Teaching and Consulting team and help students develop to their full potential!
