Hi, I’m Ms. Libbi, and I believe that every student deserves an individualized approach to learning—one that builds confidence, independence, and a deeper understanding of the material. With a background in special education and expertise in structured literacy instruction, I specialize in reading, math, and executive functioning support for students of all learning styles.
I hold a B.S. in Education with a focus on Special Education from Indiana University and am certified in Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus, a structured, multisensory approach to literacy instruction. My experience includes tutoring for over two years, working as an IU Tutoring Coach, and teaching in both Monroe County Community Schools and Chicago Public Schools as a Diverse Learners teacher. These experiences have shaped my ability to differentiate instruction, scaffold learning, and ensure that each student receives the targeted support they need to thrive.
My teaching style is structured, multisensory, and student-centered. I tailor my approach to fit each child’s strengths, breaking complex skills into manageable steps and fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Whether it’s strengthening foundational literacy, mastering math strategies, or improving executive functioning skills, I focus on meeting students where they are and helping them build lasting skills.
Outside of tutoring, I love going for walks, trying new foods, and spending time with friends. This year marks my first time living outside of Indiana—an exciting adventure pushing me to grow, just like I encourage my students to do!
A family friend once shared: “Ms. Libbi has always had a passion for helping others, especially my son with autism. Her creativity, knowledge, and heart of gold make her an incredible educator. She is the perfect tutor for all ages.”
Inspired by Maya Angelou’s words, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better,” I strive to continuously grow as an educator, ensuring every student I work with feels supported, challenged, and empowered in their learning journey.
