Hello! My name is Ms. Mary Kate, and I teach high school math. I am in my 4th year of teaching and am currently at a new school this year. I live in Downers Grove with my fiance and puppy.

I attended school at Illinois State University. I teach Math one and two but taught Algebra one and geometry at my previous school. My favorite thing about teaching is building relationships with students to make them better understand math. I create a positive and safe space in my classroom to ensure all my students feel comfortable learning. Math can be challenging, but I work hard to help my students enjoy math. I create engaging lessons to keep students involved. Through tutoring, students can get more one-on-one help that can be hard to get in a classroom. In my tutoring sessions, I like to focus on finding the concepts the student struggles with. I use this to drive what we will work on. I will find all possible ways to ensure your student gets what is needed to be successful.
