Hi! My name is Ms. Meaghan. I grew up in Glenview, which is a northern suburb of Chicago. After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, I moved to Atlanta. I accepted a job as the prekindergarten through fifth grade Spanish teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption. I spent two years in that position before moving to third grade. I have always loved children, and family plays a huge role in my life. I am the oldest of six children and have a large extended family. I am a mother to a sweet girl, and my family loves going back to Illinois to see relatives as often as possible. We are big Chicago Cubs fans, so seeing the Cubs play is always fun! I also enjoy reading and taking walks with my family.
My mother is a teacher who instilled my love of working with children. Tutoring has allowed me to work with children of all ages and broadened my educational practices and teaching strategies. I am excited to join the JAM team and continue the work with students and families. Each tutoring opportunity helps me to become a better educator as I work diligently to meet the needs of the children I work with and develop relationships with families.
