Hi there! My name is Ms. Taylor, and I am currently a first-grade teacher in the Northern suburbs! I grew up in a northern suburb of Chicago called Lake Forest. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University with a minor in psychology. I am Orton Gillingham trained. I have always had a passion for kids, from being a babysitter to a camp counselor. From a very young age, I wanted to be a teacher! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoying the city, and walking. Over my three years of teaching, I have learned more each day! I have an incredible teaching partner and team who constantly collaborate to make each year more successful for the school. I have learned more about teaching the whole child and that every child does not learn the same way. Daily, I differentiate lessons based on student needs while incorporating videos, anchor charts, and worksheets. I love supporting students and enjoy my work with JAM Teaching and Consulting!
